About me
I started in Earth Sciences, specialised in Geophysics, at ETH Zürich. I moved onto Space Systems, specialising in Astrophysics and spent a few months at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory working on Venusquakes.
I wrote my master's thesis in Kyoto, on characterising exoplanet atmospheres using the sodium absorption line.
Now I'm in Geneva, a doctoral researcher at the Observatoire de Genève, where I study the atmospheres of Neptunian exoplanets.
Between modelling and interpreting distant planets I read about 52 books a year.
What I actually study

Exoplanet atmospheres
Working out what distant worlds are made of.

Transmission spectroscopy
Reading starlight filtered through a planet's atmosphere as it crosses its star.

Forward modeling
Simulating atmospheres from first principles, then comparing the synthetic spectra against source truth.
